MODlab collaborated with Joey Goldberg to create Orange Motherfucker's graphic identity, "a blog by the People, for the People."
Orange Motherfucker's identity begins with its primary logo; encapsulating the essence of the profile of the Orange Motherfucker with two strokes of the pen. The vertical initials of the website, OMF, sit unbalanced, off center in the graphic, a nod to the unbalanced times we are living in. Orange was the natural choice for the field color while a thinner inner and a thicker outer white circle provide a timeless look.
The white alternate logo reverses the color usage of the primary logo while introducing secondary coloring.
The word mark 'OMF' and letter mark 'O' are derived from the website initials in the primary logo. The actual Orange Motherfucker's signature hair is shamelessly plopped onto the "O" with no consideration to adapting its style to its surroundings, much like the real Orange Motherfucker himself.
